The controller is the brains of the system. It senses and displays temperatures in the tank as well as the solar panel. An easy to navigate LCD display with a touchpad easily lets you monitor the system and change settings. The system is automatic, so once setup is complete, no adjustments are necessary and pumps will be turned on and off accordingly with weather conditions and solar heat availability. Generally the system will begin pumping when the panel is 16 degrees warmer than the tank. It will shut down when the maximum desired tank temperature is achieved. We recommend and set a max tank temperature of 150 degrees.
